Music and Movement for Little Folks
LarkSong Music and Movement for Little Folks is Music instruction for preschool- aged children and their parents/caregivers, offered in a joyful, collaborative, and culturally inclusive experience.
In class, children will be introduced to musical concepts, such as rhythm, pitch, and dynamics through folk songs, nursery rhymes, stories, and games, while singing along and playing instruments with the teacher.
Nestlings - 10-24 months
Fast paced, interactive, playful instruction encourages the child’s independence, social, language, motor, and musical skill development.
Fledgelings - 2-3 years
Songs are woven into stories and dramatic play, nurturing the child’s creativity, cognitive, social, language, and musical skills.
Songbirds - 4-5 years
Musical understanding grows as (rhythmic and melodic) foundations for musical literacy are laid in an energy-filled environment rich with singing, playing instruments, and movement.
